WHAT WE Did

Gremlin Works led the complete redesign of Lung Yen’s website, merging strategic brand renewal with modern front-end technology to deliver a groundbreaking digital experience in the funeral services industry.

Human-Centered Design Language
The redesigned interface centers on warmth, care, and reassurance—breaking away from the cold, solemn aesthetics typical of the funeral sector. Soft color palettes and gentle typography were used to create a sense of comfort, empathy, and presence for users during sensitive moments.

Visualizing the Service Journey
Complex service offerings were translated into intuitive visuals and step-by-step diagrams, helping families quickly understand each stage of the process and easing emotional burdens during critical times.

Narrative-Driven Branding
Lung Yen’s values, history, and cultural heritage were woven into the site’s storytelling to reinforce its role as a socially responsible institution. This narrative approach deepened brand trust and emotional connection.

Multilingual & Localized Architecture
The site was built with a multilingual framework to accommodate overseas markets and global Chinese-speaking users, extending Lung Yen’s reach and enhancing international usability.

Headless CMS Architecture
Using platforms like Contentful or Strapi, we implemented a headless CMS with a decoupled front- and backend. This allows for flexible content management and easier future integration with systems like CRM or online booking tools.

Jamstack Framework
Built with technologies like React or Vue and static site generation, the website delivers exceptional speed, security, and SEO performance.

Modular Design System
A unified design system and modular components ensure consistent visuals and functionality, while enabling efficient maintenance and future scalability.

Mobile Optimization & Accessibility
The website is fully optimized for mobile and tablet devices, and meets WCAG accessibility standards—ensuring usability for elderly users and those with limited mobility.

Data-Driven Strategy
Integrated with GA4 and behavioral tracking tools, the platform empowers Lung Yen to monitor user behavior and pain points in real time, providing insights for continuous improvement.

Impact

This website redesign not only infused Lung Yen with fresh momentum for digital transformation, but also redefined how funeral services can communicate and engage in the digital age.
