OVERVIEW
“Driver Always With You” — Redefining Chauffeured Travel in Taiwan
With years of experience in car rental and travel services, EGO Rental Group recognized a major market gap: while Taiwan had a growing number of ride-hailing and rental apps like Uber, there was no standout brand offering premium, chauffeured car services tailored for travel and business use.
To lead this category, EGO launched Driways, a new brand with a clear proposition: not a taxi, not a traditional car rental, not a side-gig driver—but a dedicated, professional, trained chauffeur service. Driways redefined the perception of “附駕” (with-driver) services in the Taiwanese market through a new service model emphasizing safety, reliability, and premium experience.

WHAT WE Did
Gremlin Works partnered with EGO Rental Group to lead the full digital transformation of the Driways brand. The scope covered a complete service ecosystem, including:
Member and booking systems
Trip planning and mileage calculators
Credit card points integration
Airline crew ride services
Themed tour and sightseeing bus booking platforms
Driver-only mobile app
CRM and dispatch scheduling systems
Corporate website and brand microsite
In collaboration with Ming Island, we also developed Driways’ brand identity, digital marketing strategy, and social media advertising. Together, we executed a fully integrated campaign to build a forward-looking, international-caliber brand in the travel-tech space.





WHAT CHANGES DID WE MAKE
Driways introduced professional travel consultants, helping customers plan worry-free, customized journeys—whether short business trips or multi-day leisure tours.
The brand’s digital transformation introduced:
- Real-time booking and automated driver dispatch, replacing legacy manual scheduling and reducing errors
- Automated mileage and pricing system with advanced rules for peak/off-peak times, city/suburb distances, airport pickups, car model selection, and long-term corporate use
- Custom flexibility for individual and corporate users—creating a scalable and deeply personalized service platform
The result was a seamless, intelligent system that balanced automation with human care—delivering a new standard for chauffeured services in Taiwan.

THE CHALLENGES OF THIS PROJECT
This was a complex, multi-layered project that spanned 8 months of development planning, involving a wide range of systems and stakeholder requirements.
Post-launch, Driways achieved a major milestone by partnering with Sixt, a globally renowned car rental brand. The collaboration enabled cross-border service integration, allowing members to access Driways services while traveling internationally, with shared systems, membership benefits, and booking infrastructure.
Driways is now positioned not only as Taiwan’s most complete chauffeur brand—but also as a rising player in the global mobility ecosystem.
